Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to send you images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app, which lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.

The design is also more appealing than the competition. It features a sleek, top piece that appears like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it around the floor. It even managed to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots aren't able to do. And all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

top rated robot vacuum , though not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an option for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. This type of robot typically comes with a built-in tank for water which means they can vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a range of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive at retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.

Roborock is the manufacturer of some of our most loved robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not disappoint. This is the least expensive model in their auto-empty line. While it may not come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's a great choice when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an ideal choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few missed corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, but it can help effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

It's a small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots will leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do very well at collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who need a robot vacuum that does everything.

If you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices available, including a lot of eufy models that cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is less expensive and has more features, including stairs and a fully-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of producing robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.

The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be precise, which means it will fit under many couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is a little less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform routine cleaning tasks that are not scheduled.

The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.

The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better built, incurs lower recurring expenses, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing superior performance on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require as much emptying. It also comes with boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand is less expensive and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
